Final 2025 Golf Outing & Golfer of the Year
Final 2025 Golf Society outing in Portstewart and Golfer of the Year confirmed
On Sunday 21st September the Golf Society made it’s final outing of the year to the North Coast’s beautiful Portstewart Golf Club.
This turned out to be the biggest society outing of the year with 32 members making the long trip to the North Coast. The long drive was well worth it to get to play Portstewart’s Riverside Golf Course which was in stunning condition.
Before the golf started the society members paid tribute to founding member and Past Captain
Kenny Cowan, Kenny recently passed away after a short illness. We will always be grateful for Kenny’s influence on the society in helping set up an extremely successful society. All members will never forget Kenny and will always appreciate the effort he put in the make the society what it is to-day.

Results in Portstewart...
With a cold northerly breeze and some heavy showers this didn’t dampen the spirits of the golfers and certainly didn’t effect Graeme Morrow who had a brilliant round of golf scoring 39 points. Graeme’s front nine of 21 points was superb and followed up with 18 points on the closing nine holes was enough to secure top spot.
In 2nd place was Kiarkus, an incredible 24 points on the front nine, but only 13 points on the back nine would ultimately cost him taking 1st place.
In 3rd place was Trevor Anderson with 35 points, again a great front nine of 19 points, but the tricky back nine would prove costly with only 16 points being achieved on the way in.
Other prize winners on the day...
- The Longest Drive was won by Robbie Taylor
- Closest to the Pin was won by
Alan Dowd
Golfer of the Year 2025...
The round in Portstewart also concluded the Golfer of the Year contest which has run over all four outings. Willie Nummy went into the last outing with a commanding six shot lead and with a steady 32 points, this was enough to secure top spot and take home the Golfer of the Year award for 2025.

The Golf Society Committee would like to thank everyone who made the long trip to Portstewart, this turned out to be a superb outing and was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone who came.
NOHC Golf Committee would also like to thank Portstewart Golf Club for the hospitality and use of their golf course, everyone was really well looked after from the minute we arrived until we left.
