Sign-up for our new golf society

8 June 2021

Keep in the swing during the summer!

During the close season we're aiming to keep fit and have a bit of craic at the same time with our own Newry Olympic Golf Society.

Open to men and women, the first outing is planned for Sunday 25th July in Banbridge Golf Club, with the first tee provisionally block booked from 1pm to 2.30pm. A meal in the clubhouse will also be available for everyone after the the golf is over.

Don't worry if you don't know the difference between an eagle or an albatross or if you think a sand-wedge is a light snack! The trip is open to everyone of all abilities. It's not only a great chance to have a round of golf, but it's a perfect opportunity to meet up again with old friends, make some new ones and have a laugh!

Kenny Cowan has volunteered to be our 2021 NOHC Golf Society captain, ably assisted by Ian MacNeil (secretary) and Paul McCullough (treasurer). So you can take comfort that you'll be in safe hands and have a few semi professionals to provide some coaching tips!!

If you're interested in what will be a really great day out and haven't already signed up, please use the link below to let Kenny and the team know if "I will definitely be there on 25th July" or "I can't make this one, but I'm definitely interested in going in the future."

Responses need to be in by Friday 18th June to confirm numbers for Banbridge and allow planning to start for the next trip away.

Further details will be forwarded in the coming weeks to all those who have confirmed their interest.
