Covid regulations update from Ulster Hockey

18 December 2020

Following the NI Executive’s announcement on 17th December

Ulster Hockey is disappointed to announce that it is indicated that hockey at all levels will be suspended for the 6 week period from 26th December. We are awaiting publication of the regulation from the Executive before advising the situation in terms of elite level training. The Competitions Committee will consider the implications of these restrictions and identify options for the resumption of hockey in 2021.

The stop/start nature of the restrictions over the last number of months have been challenging to all sport and we are aware that this will continue to be a disappointment to our clubs and members who wish to return to the sport we all love.

We would be hopeful that the measures being implemented by the Executive will provide a platform from which hockey can return to a more stable base from February 2021 onwards and urge all of our members to continue full compliance with the measures being put in place.
