NOHC PLAY 4 MND on Saturday 7th June

As many of you will be aware, our Club President Norman Baird has recently been diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (MND). Norman's sister Gillian, organised an amazing coffee morning in the clubhouse in May to raise funds for the MND Association.
Following on from that hugely successful event, a mixed hockey match for former and current Newry Olympic hockey players is being held to raise more much needed funds for the MNDA, on Saturday 7th June at 4pm, at our Belfast Road grounds.
NOHC PLAY 4 MND
We're hoping as many former and current players as possible can support this MNDA fundraising event, by making an appearance and playing in a mixed hockey match at 4pm, on Saturday 7th June at Newry Olympic Hockey Club.
The two teams competing will be a Newry Olympic based home side playing in red captained by Paul McCullough and an exile's team captained by Michael McCullough (Bod) playing in white.
Current and ex-players of all ages and abilities are welcome to participate, even if it’s been years or decades since you last donned the famous Newry Olympic colours. The match will be played in four quarters with multiple roll-on roll-off subs.
Post match there will be a BBQ and the clubhouse will be open for refreshments.
Any senior player participating will be asked for a £20 donation towards the charity, £10 donation for students or alternatively, you can ask family, friends or businesses for sponsorship. Participants with a minimum of £50 sponsorship will be exempt from the player's donation fee.
Paul and Bod are hoping for a large squad of players, so please make a big effort to support this charity, which is close to the hearts of us all at NOHC.
Paul's home team will be from Newry, Bessbrook, Warrenpoint, Rathfriland, Jerrettspass and Meigh. Bod's away team will be from the Rest of the World!
