Jonny loses out in family derby!

McWilliams v McWilliams in local derby
There was added spice for the McWilliams family in the Mens 2s local derby with Banbridge 4s on 17th February 2024.
Dad Jonny came out on the wrong side of a 3-1 result playing against his son Jay in the home fixture at the Belfast Road.
Jay (15) is a pupil at Newry High School and is on the Ulster Development Squad having started his hockey career playing mini hockey for the Olympic.
All's not lost for Jonny though. There's still a chance to get his own back in the return fixture at Havelock Park before the end of the season.
