Kilkeel 3s 0-2 Newry Olympic 2s

Newry Olympic 2s travelled to Kilkeel on a bitterly cold and blustery Friday night, to face a tough game against the local rivals and the elements.

The visitors started the brighter of the two teams, with early chances falling to David Hogg and Simon McCafferty. It was Hogg who opened the scoring with a rocket from a short corner.

Richard Henning in the Newry goals was in fine form keeping out any chances Kilkeel created.

In the second half, Stephen Graham opened his account for the season when he was found free at the back post for a simple tap-in, which gave Newry all three points for the journey home.
